• 19 Miles to Baghdad on Appleseed Records 10-year anniversary. To celebrate the 10-year anniversary of its inception, independent label Appleseed Recordings released two new albums, Sowing the Seeds: The 10th Anniversary, out September 11, and Feels Like Home, out September 25. Together, the compilations feature contributions from several major artists, including Pete Seeger, Bruce Springsteen, Ani DiFranco, Billy Bragg, Natalie Merchant and Jewel (to name a few), and address contemporary cultural and political issues with the help of actors Danny Glover and Tim Robbins. A cut of the proceeds will go to various environmental and human rights organizations.

• 19 Miles to Baghdad was featured on the Monday April 28th episode of Democracy Now! live after Lizzie opened for Amy Goodman in Columbia, MO. The song has also been featured on the Thursday February 28th, Monday November 19th, Tuesday July 31st, Friday May 25th, April 20th, March 2nd and January 5th episode.
